Ron Clark Construction and Design Receives Business Ethics Award

Ron Clark Construction and Design recently received the 2008 Minnesota Business Ethics Award. The Minnesota Business Ethics Award (MBEA) is given by the Twin Cities Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Center for Ethical Business Cultures at the University of St. Thomas. Ron Clark Construction and Design is an Edina based neighborhood developer and home builder with more than 30 years experience in the Twin Cities. Current neighborhoods owned and / or construction managed by Ron Clark Construction and Design include Trout Run Preserve in Savage, Pearlmont Heights in Eagan, Townhomes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, Willoughby in Minnetonka and Grandview Square in Edina. The company specializes in building townhomes, villa homes and condominiums in association maintained neighborhoods.

Judging criteria included evaluation of the company’s mission and values, a review of their ethics and compliance program, enforcement of their mission and evaluation of the company’s rewards and recognition programs. Also included in the criteria was a review of how ethical excellence has been demonstrated to the company stake holders.

MBEA judges had the following remarks about the Ron Clark submittal:

1. The authenticity of the Ron Clark story was extremely attractive.
2. The level of detail demonstrated to the employees on how the company “walks the talk” was excellent.
3. The entry demonstrated a high level of commitment to employees, clients and community.

Ron Clark Construction and Design has also won awards from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities including the HAP Award, Reggie Award and Trillium Award. In 2005, the Business Journal recognized them with the “Great Places To Work" Award.
